For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of teaching children ages 2 through 7, guiding them through the most formative years of their lives. I hold state-licensed early childhood education certifications, a director’s license, and the highest-level background clearance. But beyond credentials, what drives me most is my love for children and a passion for helping each one reach their full potential.
How I Became an Educator
Interestingly, teaching wasn’t my first career choice. When I moved to Florida, the only jobs available to me involved working with children. I never imagined I would become a teacher—I was the parent who eagerly dropped my own children off at school to work in an adult environment! Yet, the moment I stepped into the classroom, I discovered something unexpected: I had a natural ability to understand and connect with children in a way that most people don’t. That gift has shaped the way I teach and the approach I bring to every student.
A Life Shaped by Experience
Growing up as a military child, I moved frequently. This taught me how to adapt quickly, embrace new environments, and connect with people from all walks of life. It also instilled in me an appreciation for diversity—something I bring into every classroom and tutoring session. Creativity comes naturally to me, and I love inspiring it in the children I teach. Repetition is not my style; exploration, curiosity, and discovery are at the heart of learning for me—and for my students.
My Teaching Philosophy
I am a lifelong learner, and I believe learning works best when we understand the “why” behind it. Memorization alone isn’t enough; children need to know the purpose and application of what they’re learning. I teach in a way that ensures each student understands the who, what, where, when, why, and how of every concept—so they can use that knowledge in the future.
Every child is beautifully and uniquely created. Some excel in reading, others in math, some in the arts or sports. My goal isn’t to turn every child into an academic genius; it’s to ensure that each child has a strong enough foundation to thrive as the person they were created to be. When children have this foundation, they can grow into confident, capable, and creative individuals ready to face the world.

Traditional classrooms often cannot provide the individualized attention many children need to flourish. I founded Future Thinkers Inc. to offer one-on-one support that builds focus, critical thinking, and confidence—giving children the tools to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Here, every child is seen, valued, and empowered to become exactly who they were meant to be.
